Trigiants Won lawsuit against Doro in the Netherlands
Doro has claimed that the clamshell phone of Fysic FM9700, which was designed and manufactured by Trigiants, has infringed Doro's patent design.
A court in Hague, the Netherlands, has dismissed Doro's law suit. The judge concludes that this is no matter of design infringement, since Trigiants mobile phone and the design are sufficiently different. He also states that there is no copyright infringement.
Doro also publishes this news in their official site, see Doro's full report dated 04-05-2012
Mr. Jack Lee, GM of Trigiants Technology Co, Ltd, made the following comments after the suit: "Doro is a respected company in the industry, and a shining example for us Chinese companies. Trigiants has been obeying the local laws in regards to intellectual property worldwide, especially in EU market. Althougn we won the lawsuit, it is still a good lesson for us. We will support our clients worldwide, as ever before. "
Meanwhile, Trigiants' victory for the patent shows a great way for Chinese companies dealing with US & EU market. As far as we know, in many cases, once a Chinese company received such law suit, most of them will just retreat without fighting back. This causes a lot of loss for Chinese companies.
